27 Dec Sibu victorious in 57th Sarawak Table Tennis Championship 2017
SERIAN – Defending champion, Sibu emerged victorious in the 57th Sarawak Table Tennis Championship 2017 after they bagged a total of 8 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze medals in the event which was held at Serian Community Hall on December 19 – 23.
A total of 10 teams from Kuching, Samarahan, Serian, Sibu, Betong, Sarikei, Mukah, Bintulu, Miri and Limbang took part in the 5-day championship. Finishing in second placing was Kuching with 7 gold, 6 silver and 7 bronze medals .
Sibu winning gold medals came from Crystal Tiong Hui Man who won the Girls’ Open Singles, Sia Hsiao Ling in Girls’ U15 singles, Constance Tiong Hui Yuan in Girls’ U10 singles, Ling Kah Nge in Men’s Veteran 55 singles, Lim Ah Bee in Women’s Veteran 40 singles and Crystal Tiong-Sia Hsiao Ching in Women’s Doubles.
