28 Jun VACCINATION OF SARAWAK ATHLETES, COACHES AND SPORTS OFFICIAL
A total of 808 athletes from 31 different sports and games, who are scheduled to be going to next year’s Malaysia Games (SUKMA) in Johor.
Today was the first phase of the vaccinations for our athletes and coaches whereby 154 of them together with 41 of our elite coaches are getting their first jabs.
The ones we had today are from Kuching and Samarahan which are from Southern Zone while those from the Northern and Central Zone will also be receiving them very soon at the designated PPVs in their respective divisions.
Sarawak is presently the first in the country to undertake the initiative to provide vaccinations for its state’s athletes and their elite coaches. This is done as part of our strategy and plans to get our athletes to be well protected from Covid-19 as well as to ensure their training and preparations are according to schedule.
