The Hockey Stadium Padungan covers an area of ​​1.09 hectares at Jalan Tun Razak nearby the iconic Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Building which is about 5 KM from Kuching City centre. The hockey stadium was declared opened on 30 June 1991  and has a grandstand a seating capacity of 1,000. The facility was constructed at a cost of RM5.9 million and it was built in compliance with FIH compliance and certification on the Tiger Turf pitch. The facility is popular among locals for a variety of local hockey competitions and is also being used by as the venue of social and recreational activities organised by non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
